Donate used books and media
Do you have books or CDs you no longer need or want? We work with several non-profits in the Las Vegas area. We donate books to shelters, hospitals and anyone else who is in need of books. This is an excellent option if you are moving, clearing out the contents of an estate, closing a store or just have books or media that you no longer want.
The benefit to donation is that we will come to you and pick up the books for free as long as there are 5 boxes or more. If you have less than this, we may still be able to arrange something during a time when we are near your neighborhood.

To be clear, this is a for profit business. Many people do not realize that many non-profits have a large overhead and that only a small percentage of donations actually go to the needy. Overhead can even reach $0.80 out of each one dollar. Thus only $0.20 would get donated to those in need.
Though we have an online book store, the facts are that most books do not fit our business model. We could choose to sell these books for a few dollars in a local store bu have decided to give back to the community. As many as 80% of books donated will not be sold by us. Instead we look for a new home for the books. If one is not available, the books will be recycled.
The convenience of at your door pick ups is a big reason that many people choose Book Sourcer as the Book Donation Center.
Books must be in reasonable condition. Highlighting and markings are not ideal but we can sometimes take those books if all else is intact. Examples of books we cannot take are books with loose spines, mold or mildew, missing pages, bad odors and books that have water damage.
Up to 80% of book donations go directly to local non-profits who are able to use them. Currently we donate to:

- Savers
- Hospitals and nursing homes
